Human Rights & Good Governance

EPRC advances social justice, accountability, and inclusive governance by addressing persistent human rights challenges while strengthening democratic and institutional processes in Bangladesh. It places a strong emphasis on preventing gender-based violence (GBV), including eve-teasing, domestic violence, public sexual harassment, and the trafficking of women, children, and adolescent girls. Through rights-based awareness initiatives, community vigilance, and strengthened referral and support mechanisms, EPRC works to protect survivors, challenge harmful social norms, and improve access to justice. The organization actively engages key stakeholders to promote accountability and safeguard fundamental rights at the community level.

EPRC also collaborates with local government institutions, civil society organizations, and community groups to enhance service delivery, participatory decision-making, social accountability, and effective grievance redress systems. Particular attention is given to the inclusion of women, youth, disadvantaged groups, and persons with disabilities (PwDs), ensuring that governance processes are equitable, responsive, and people-centered.
